Tour itinerary

  • 7:00 transfer from the hotel to the train station.

  • 8:00 Departure to Samarkand by high-speed train “Afrosiyab” (journey time 2 hours 10 minutes)

  • 10:10 Arrival in Samarkand. Our guide and driver will meet you. The excursion program begins with a visit to the Ulugbek Observatory, which houses the preserved part of a 15th-century sextant.

  • Next, visit the Shahi-Zinda necropolis - an ensemble of mausoleums of the Samarkand nobility, and the Bibi-Khanum Cathedral Mosque. After walking along the alley with souvenir shops, you will find yourself on the famous Registan Square, which has been the center of Samarkand for many centuries. During the excursion, you will be able to look at the Siab Bazaar, whose counters are bursting with oriental sweets, fresh fruits and hot flatbreads.

  • Lunch at a cafe where delicious Samarkand pilaf is prepared.

  • At the end of the excursion, visit the mausoleum. Gur-Emir - tombs of Tamerlane and members of the Timurid dynasty.
